Mahram are those relatives and non relatives to whom you can’t marry (Nikah) and you don't need to wear “Parda”, “Niqab” (Parda is not Farz) in front of them, but still you need to hide (not open) your other boday parts, which are also not allowed to open in front of Mahram Persons. They may be your Blood Relatives like Father, Mother, Brothers, Sisters, etc., while Non Mahram are those to whom you can marry and you have to wear “Parda” (Parda is Farz) in front of them. They may be your Relatives or Non-Relatives i.e., persons not belonged to your family You can’t be open and free with them. So, you should reserve with them and don’t cross the boundaries set By Allah Almighty.

نا محرم / غیر محرم وہ رشتے ہیں جن کے ساتھ ایک عورت کی شادی، نکاح ہو سکتا ہے اور ان کے ساتھ ایک عورت کا پردہ کرنا فرض ہے۔ یہ رشتے دار بھی ہو سکتے ہیں اور غیر رشتے دار بھی۔ جبکہ محرم وہ رشتے ہیں جن کے ساتھ نکاح نہیں ہو سکتا ہے اور ان کے ساتھ ایک عورت کا پردہ کرنا فرض نہیں ہے۔ لیکن ان محرم رشتے داروں کے سامنے بھی عورت کا اپنے جسم کے ان اعضاء کو چھپانا فرض ہے جو کسی کو بھی نہیں دیکھائے جا سکتے۔
